Rawlings' Rabbit

I feel a great kinship with those who craft images with words. Author William Rawlings has delighted me with his storytelling talents for years and recently designed the cover of his novel, “The Girl with Kaleidoscope Eyes.” Since then I have been treated to a front row seat of stunning photos he has taken on his travels but it was an animal in his backyard at sunset that captured me. Late afternoon light filtered through the thin ears of a rabbit and its black orb eyes glistened. Rawlings graciously gave permission for me to use his photo as inspiration for this piece.
