Step back and look at the top right. Do you see the red eye, dark head, and a beak of a bird bringing a flower? The mythology of ravens is vast. Huggin and Munnin, Odin’s twin ravens, embodied thought and memory. The first birds to be mentioned in the bible, Noah released a raven before the dove and later, ravens fed the prophet Elijah. While in some cultures they are associated with war, trickery, or omens, there are just as many positive associations of ravens that connect the spiritual and physical world. Composed of 100% postconsumer paper and paint, the art was made by mixing paper pulp with paint and then pouring it. Highly textured and sealed, it can be experienced by touch.
